Charming Houseplant Buddha\'s Hand

Alocasia is the species and there are many varieties and hybrids. There are two common varieties of alocasia which are often kept as indoor foliage. One is Alocasia Cucullata, known by the common names Chinese taro, Chinese ape, Buddha's hand, and hooded dwarf elephant ear. The other is Alocasia amazonica Polly, which is normally known as the Kris Plant or Elephant Ear.
Picture shown here is Alocasia Cucullata which have thick, shiny, green heart shaped leaves that resemble elf hats each with curly-cue, twisted tips and upturn leaf margins. White ceramic container may slightly vary.
